Syphon Coffee : DigInfo
DigInfo – movie.diginfo.tv Reviving an old idea in a new way, Lucky Cremas Company is selling their Bonmac HST 103&105 which use the syphon brewing method to make a tasty cup of coffee. The Bonmac series uses a halogen light to heat the water. As the pressure builds in the lower bowl, the water is forced into the upper container and brews the coffee. once it is removed from the heat, the bottom is left in a vacuum state and all the coffee is sucked into the lower chamber leaving the unwanted coffee grinds stuck in the filter. The whole process can brew coffee in under a minute. As the water reaches the top, it has cooled to just below boiling temperature so it doesn’t burn the coffee and maintains the light taste. Stirring is also important to the method to maintain an easy flow of water. Originally developed by a Scottish Marine engineer who used brass for his design, Bonmac has a stylish glass body and comes with 3 or 5 heaters.
